REMINDERS:
1. Since 09.22.98 Malaysia has introduced currency controls upon entry and exit. Visitors can bring in unlimited amount of foreign currencies but not more than RM1000 in Malaysian currency. They can bring out not more than the amount of currencies they brought in. Prescribed currency declaration form must be filled in upon entry and exit.
2. Since 01.01.99 Malaysia has declared an additional rest day on the first Thursday or Saturday of the month (respectively for States having Friday or Sunday as a public holiday). All government departments and most companies close on that day. ALL BANKS CLOSE on that Thursday or Saturday!
